Julie’s 25 year working life has included roles in Personnel (HR), Project Management, Training, Consultancy, and Management. More recently she set up and is Managing Director of The Leadership Coaching Company.
She started her working life in the public sector (NHS) and moved to private sector manufacturing and service organisations before becoming her own boss.
She gained experience working and liaising with other public sector organisations such as Learning & Skills Councils (formerly TECs), Business Links, Government Office, other funding and business support agencies, NHS Trusts, and Local Authorities, as well as many private sector organisations.
Julie is passionate about helping people fulfil their personal potential and has coached middle and senior level managers, Directors and MDs/Chief Executives, on a 1 to 1 basis, across many organisations and sectors. These include the NHS, charitable and voluntary organisations as well as the manufacturing and service sectors. She believes that everyone has the potential to take more of a lead in their lives and in their work.
Julie is a qualified coach, and is a graduate and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD.) She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management (FInstLM) and carries out an external verification role for them in the North East of England.
She is a passionate believer in life-long learning and continuous professional development and practises what she preaches in terms of attending development workshops herself, buying business and personal development products, using her own coach and mentor; and being involved in a regular and supportive mastermind group.
