About Julie Johnson, Founder Director
I set up The Leadership Coaching Company to offer personal and professional development to Business Leaders, Directors and Managers with the joint aim of improving business results and improving personal happiness and success.
This is important to me because after almost 20 years of working life I realised that in my senior management position, although I was pushing myself and my team to reach targets and improve results, it was to the detriment of my own happiness and wellbeing, and that of my team members (not to mention my family)!
Although we were all very busy and driven at work, none of us was working to our full potential; because none of us was fully engaged, motivated and enthusiastic at work – at least not for any sustained length of time.
It seemed obvious to me at that point that the way to really explode business results and realise more of our personal potential was to combine the personal and the work related in a holistic, whole life approach - for us to be “real” leaders – in our lives and in our work, by connecting and engaging with purpose and passion.
I guess in short, I wanted to help others not make the same mistakes I’d made!
What my company specialises in, in terms of leadership development, is the ‘who’ and ‘how’ you are as a leader, as opposed to the more traditional ‘what’ you do. We do this by helping managers:
- rediscover their passion and enthusiasm for life and work
- maintain the right work life balance for them, and
- maximise their own and other peoples performance
That said, I know that some people also need the ‘what’ you do element, and I’ve built an extended associate team of specialists in the fields of business and team development that can offer consultancy, facilitation or training support on a 1:1 or group basis. All offer complimentary services that contribute to overall business success:
